Course Details

The EPA requires those who are paid to perform renovations, repairs and painting projects which disturb lead-based paint in homes, apartments, child care facilities and schools built before 1978 to become certified by taking a Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Course. Personnel at property management companies (PMCs) are required to be trained as well, not just the contractors they hire. Initial training is a one-day, 8-hour course that includes lecture and hands-on training. IDEAL provides each student with a hard-copy detailed training manual. During hands-on training, chemicals will be used that may damage and/or stain clothing. Students are expected to dress appropriately. IDEAL is not responsible for damage to clothing or personal property.
